European Energy and partner Renewable Connections have received the go-ahead for a 15MW solar farm in southwestern England.

The Bath & North East Somerset has signed off on the solar farm, which is expected to cover a 24 hectare area, writes Renews.

”We are delighted Bath & North East Somerset Council have granted consent for Marksbury Plain solar farm,” says head of development of Renewable Connections Ed Perrin:

”Throughout the project development we engaged with local people and the feedback received helped shape the final design of the solar farm, which includes proposals to greatly enhance the biodiversity of the area, creating new habitats, and offering food and shelter to wildlife.”
