European Energy aims for 10GW in the US by 2026

In terms of being an interesting market for renewables and Power-to-X, the US has overtaken Europe by a quantum leap, notes Danish developer, which plans to turbocharge its US expansion.

Although Europe is written into the name, there is no need to take it literally. European Energy has already been active in South and North America for a number of years and aims to continue down this path. In March, for instance, a deal was struck with Maersk for supply of US-produced e-methanol starting from 2025/’26 on the basis of 1.2-1.5GW of newly established solar and wind installations.
