Vestas snags third order in two days

Following the announcement of two Irish orders since Tuesday this week, the Danish wind OEM now announces reaping another contract, this time to supply a Scottish project with 108MW.

Vestas has gained an order for 108MW from Scotland.

The customer is Infinergy UK, with the deal entailing 24 mdoel V136-4.5MW units with an attached 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement, the manufacturer informs in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

Delivery and installation are scheduled to take place in the second and third quarter of 2024.

“Vestas are proud to work with Infinergy for the first time in the UK, and we are excited to yet-again supply the V136-4.5MW for the UK market,” writes Vestas Vice President Sales for Northern and Central Europe Juan Furones in the company announcement.
