German turbine manufacturer Nordex receives two orders of a combined 109.3MW in Sweden and Finland for cold climate variant turbines from regular customer WPD, reveals Nordex in a press release on Wednesday.

The Nordex group is charged with supplying ten N163/6.X turbines for the Tomasliden wind farm in Sweden, located in the northern part of the country.

For the Finnish Oulainen project – on roughly same latitudes as the Swedish wind farm – WPD has placed an order for the delivery of seven N163/5.X turbines.

Both orders come with a premium service contract for the maintenance of the turbines for 15 years with an extension option for further five years.

Construction of both onshore wind farms is slated for spring 2024.
