150 meter wooden turbine tower launched in Sweden

Modvion establishes the world’s tallest wooden wind turbine tower of 105 meters.

In California’s Redwood National Park, the Hyperion redwood stands as the world’s tallest tree at just over 116 meters. Over the summer, however, it will have Swedish competition when the construction of the world’s tallest wooden wind turbine tower is completed. On top of the 105 meter tall wooden tower, a crown consisting of a 2MW Vestas nacelle will be placed, and rotor blades will push the total height to 150 meters.
