Siemens Gamesa "disqualifies" suppliers

The failure rates on 4.X and 5.X have been detected through ”abnormal vibrations” attributed mainly to rotor blades and main bearings. However, not all turbines are affected in the same way.

When it comes to the wind turbine business, there is one bright spot in Siemens Energy’s quarterly report on Monday morning. The value of new orders more than doubled from the same quarter last year to EUR 7,359m. Presumably largely driven by the order for 107 turbines for Ørsted and PGE’s Polish offshore wind farm Baltica 2.
