Ørsted pulls plug on UK hydrogen venture

The UK Gigastack project is put on hold and with it the plan to establish 100MW electrolysis plants by 2025. More maturation is needed, Ørsted and Phillips 66 acknowledge.

In recent months, there has been a massive focus on cancellations of offshore wind farms. Not least in the UK, where Vattenfall stopped the development of the Norfolk Boreas project in July, while Ørsted already in March warned of an uncertain future for its project from the latest CFD round, Hornsea 3.
