RWE boss: Absence of bids for offshore wind projects is wake-up call for the UK

The harsh criticism comes in the wake of the UK government’s annual tender for offshore wind energy contracts which was unsuccessful with no companies bidding for the contracts.
RWE's CEO, Markus Krebber, told the Financial Times that RWE is among the developers that decided not to bid for the contracts. This happened despite the fact that the company won a number of contracts for onshore wind projects and solar energy in the same tender round. | Photo: Rwe
