Growth is in the pipeline at NKT whose order book is overflowing.

With an order book totaling DKK 75bn (USD 10.6bn), the Danish cable manufacturer expects to increase its turnover significantly by 2028, according to Danish business daily Børsen.

According to NKT’s CEO, Claes Westerlind, the goal is to increase the top line by 12% annually, which will lift last year’s turnover of DKK 15bn to DKK 25bn in 2028.

Of course, operating profits must keep up, and the forecast for the development is that the profit of DKK 1.2bn last year will grow to DKK 4.1bn in five years.

”When we grow significantly, hiring and competencies are always a critical area. When we want to grow at least 12% per year until 2028, we need to welcome many new colleagues, find the right ones and retain the employees already in the organization. We need to make this a top priority, because we are not the only company in the green transition that is growing. We are all fishing in the same waters,” Claes Westerlind tells Børsen.
