Ørsted expects a sharp increase in its solar investments

Ørsted has won several solar contracts in England and is now looking forward to a major investment in the area which will significantly expand company’s investment in the area towards 2030.

Ørsted is on the cusp of a major expansion of its solar activities. By 2030, the company will go from having virtually all of its onshore investments in wind to having a balance between the two technologies by the end of the decade, Kieran White, senior vice president and head of Ørsted’s European onshore business, tells EnergyWatch.
