Vattenfall sells out of German gigawatt project

Once again, the Swedish energy company joins forces with BASF, buying almost half of the upcoming two 1.6GW German Nordlicht parks.

Chemical group BASF is buying even more of Vattenfall’s offshore wind power. After acquiring almost half of Hollandse Kust Zuid three years ago, BASF is now following up with the acquisition of 49% of the two planned Nordlicht projects in Germany, totaling 1,610MW.
