Vestas lands largest UK onshore order ever

The wind turbine manufacturer will deliver 53 of its new wind turbines to a large farm near Loch Ness in Scotland. This project has been the subject of a legal battle in recent years.

Vestas will deliver 66 wind turbines with a total of 228 MW to the Stronelairg project in Scotland. The order consists of 53 wind turbines in the V117-3.45 model, and a further 13 V112-3.45 MW types. British energy conglomerate SSE is behind the order.
