Vestas lands repowering order for 29 MW in the US

Several Vestas turbines in the US are in need of renewed strength. This has resulted in a breakthrough for a new type of sales at Vestas.

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has landed its first so-called repowering order in the US, where the company will deliver turbine components for V110-2.0 MW turbines with a total capacity of 29 MW on existing projects that need new strength.

The components will be produced at the Vestas factory in the US state of Colorado and will be delivered in early 2017, writes the Danish company in a press release.
