Confidential plans: Vestas ready to turn up heat in growth markets

Vestas will soon present two new types of turbine. According to internal Vestas documents, the goal is to boost sales, primarily in China and India. CEO Anders Runevad named precisely these two countries as growth markets back in 2013.

Vestas CEO Anders Runevad is poised to dial up the efforts in crucial growth markets.

According to confidential Vestas documents, obtained by Finans, two newly developed turbine models will secure the Danish wind turbine giant continued success in the US. Meanwhile, these wind turbines will be used to forge the company's way into China and India and gain new customers. Sales in these two countries have lagged behind for many years, even though they are described as growth markets.
