MHI Vestas' 9 MW wind turbine could be on the market this year

According to Tetsushi Mizuno, MHI Vestas is poised for an upgrade of the V164 turbine.

MHI Vestas' 9MW wind turbine – an expansion of the V164 turbine which has been sold as an 8MW turbine in recent years – could hit the market as soon as this year.

In January, MHI Vestas explained that the turbine can be upgraded to 9MW with these wind conditions, but it has not yet been ready with orders from the customers.
