Media: Shell keen on acquisition of Adwen

Offshore wind turbine company Adwen might soon come under new ownership and Shell has been flagged as a potential buyer.

The young French-Spanish offshore company Adwen, which has experienced a turbulent life since its foundation in 2015, could be poised for a divestment. The company is currently owned by Siemens-Gamesa and was established as a joint venture between Gamesa and Areva. Since then, Gamesa took over complete ownership of Adwen which then transferred to Siemens-Gamesa in the merger earlier this year.
