GE will install Australia's largest wind farm

The US wind turbine manufacturer is reaping the rewards of the Australian market with a new order which beats Vestas' old record Down Under.

Vestas' 420 MW MacArthur farm has been Australia's largest wind farm since January 2013, however, 2017 has brought with it a spate of new projects trumping that record. Now, US wind turbine manufacturer GE has announced that it will build the country's largest wind farm, the 453 MW Cooper's Gap project made up of 123 turbines in the range of 3.6 - 3.8 MW.
