Siemens Gamesa discontinues offshore wind platform
The wind turbine manufacturer is stopping the production of Adwen offshore wind turbines and will instead install French offshore wind orders with its Siemens platform.
Siemens Gamesa is discontinuing production of Adwen offshore wind turbines. Going forward, the wind turbine manufacturer will solely "focus its sales efforts on just one 8 MW model", namely the thus far Siemens platform which currently goes under the name D8, announces the manufacturer in a statement.
