
Today, Tuesday, the UK's first solar farm to operate without any state subsidies was unveiled by the UK Climate Change & Industry Minister.
The farm, Clayhill, has capacity of 10 MW which will be combined with a battery storage system totaling 6 MW. The farm will be able to generate electricity to cover consumption of around 2,500 homes.
