Dutch law forces Vattenfall to close coal plant early

An new law in The Netherlands will phase out the use of coal as fuel in electricity production by 2024. This means that Vattenfall and subsidiary Nuon must close down their power plant Hemweg 8 by that date, ten years before its technical lifespan expires.
