Statkraft sells PPA on aged wind farms to Mercedes-Benz

The Norwegian utility enters its first power purchase agreement to sell power from existing wind farms, owned by other companies, to German electric car production.

Statkraft is mainly recognized for selling hydroelectric power, although domestic wind energy is becoming a larger contributor to the business. But aside from that, the Norwegian utility also runs a lesser-known side operation as middleman on the German electricity market.
