Vattenfall to drop landfilling turbine blades, up recycling

As of 2030, utility Vattenfall will recycle 100 percent of all dismantled wind turbine blades.

No more throwing dismantled wind turbine blades on landfills, says Swedish utility Vattenfall, which has just committed to a ban on landfilling blades and ambitions to dial up recycling.

The company thereby aims to "re-use, recycle or recover" 100 percent of dismantled blades from its wind farms as of 2030.
