Fortum lost billions of euros on Uniper ownership

The utility had been pursuing ownership of Uniper for years. It succeeded in the end, but now the Q3 accounts reveal that with the sale of Uniper to the German government, Fortum’s ownership has cost the company a loss of roughly EUR 6bn.
