Petra Bjurhall holds a degree in civil engineering, but she developed a taste for management and business development early on, and as a result, she is newly appointed CEO of Niras Sweden AB, reveals Niras in a press release.

Bjurhall formerly served a spell at Sweco and most recently held a position as head of project management at Rambøll.

The new CEO says she’s excited to get to know her new colleagues and customers, and she hopes to build on the good culture already in place at Niras.

”I’m very grateful for the confidence placed in me, and I look forward to developing business operations along with my Niras colleagues and contribute to more sustainable social developments with our customers,” reads statement, citing Bjurhall.

Past experience also covers market developments within environment, water and sanitation and infrastructure, and she has worked with climate mitigation for industry customers.

Niras Group International Director Markus Davelid is pleased to add Bjurhall to his executive team.

”Her professional background and managerial ekspertise fits in perfectly with Niras’ culture and strategy. Because of her background in consultancy, along with a proven track-record of customer and colleague developments, she will act as a major energy boost to our operations,” he says.

Bjurhall assumes the position in August 2023. Until then, Davelid will continue as interim CEO of Niras Sweden AB.
