The Finnish government has issued a new operating license for Fortum’s Loviisa nuclear power plant, which is now allowed to remain online until 2050.

Finnish utility Fortum’s request for a permit to keep nuclear power plant Loviisa in operation has been approved by the Finnish government, allowing Loviisa to continue generating power until the end of 2050.
