Ørsted CEO does not fear return requirements

The Danish energy company has not lost faith in the future despite a turbulent period for its own offshore wind projects in the US and the associated billion-dollar write-downs.

Although 2023 has been a particularly tough year for Danish energy giant Ørsted, CEO Mads Nipper has no doubt that the company can maintain its required rate of return. And this is despite growing concerns from investors who fear that Ørsted will no longer be able to make enough money from its offshore wind projects, Danish business daily Børsen writes.
