Major divestment sends Vattenfall's profit skyrocketing

The Swedish energy company had an operating margin of 27% in the first months of the year due to hedging of Nordic power and divestment of offshore wind.

Margins are top notch at Vattenfall. On the positive side, the bottom line increases significantly, with an operating profit (EBIT) of SEK 20.8bn, which is 27% higher than in Q1 last year. On the other side of the coin, however, revenue fell almost as much, down 21% to SEK 76.5bn.
