GE plans to unscrew the light bulb after 125 years

GE will sell its light bulb unit and instead focus on delving deeper into core businesses such as wind turbines.

General Electric, the company which pioneered the light bulb 125 years ago with Thomas Edison at the helm, is now considering a divestment of its consumer-lighting division, reports the Wall Street Journal.
