Executives from Vattenfall and Enel to lead European electricity lobby

The European electricity industry union Eurelectric will maintain its focus on green electricity under new leadership from Italy.

Eurelectric is reshuffling two of its three top posts. CEO of Italian energy company Enel, Francesco Starace, is replacing Antonio Mexia from Portuguese utility EDF as president of the pan-European electricity industry union, while the CEO of Vattenfall, Magnus Hall, is replacing Jean-Bernard Lévy from EDF as one of two vice presidents. Alistair Phillips-Davies, CEO of SSE, will continue as the other vice president, a role he has held for two years.
