Vattenfall bracing for a firing round in savings effort

Employees will most likely be dismissed as part of Vattenfall's strategy to reduce costs by SEK 2 billion in order to free up resources for investments.

Sweden's Vattenfall has a new strategy to shrink costs by SEK 2 billion (EUR 210 million) before 2020. It will most likely cost jobs, writes the company.

In a press release, the company reveals that it is necessary to adapt to the fast-changing energy industry to remain competitive.
