Aker BP poised for major drilling program next year

Up to eight exploration drillings will be carried out by Aker BP in Norway next year. Many will be in the Barents Sea.

Norwegian/British oil company Aker BP has faith in the potential for oil discoveries in the Barents Sea, as evident in an interview conducted by Reuters with the company's CEO Karl Johnny Hersvik.

Aker BP is planning to complete six to eight exploration drillings on the Norwegian shelf next year. Out of these, four will be in the Barents Sea. One will be in the southern part of the Barents Sea, near the Russian border.
