Nordex takes in 55MW order from Italy

The German manufacturer will supply wind turbines to two projects in Italy. The deal also includes a two-year service agreement with an option to extend by up to ten years.

German OEM Nordex has won an order for a combined capacity of 55MW headed for two projects in Italy, the group inform informs in a statement.

For the one development, Nordex will deliver five model N149/5.X units to an installation totaling 26.1MW, with the other batch of six, N133/4.8'ers, going to another wind farm with a combined rating at 28.8MW.

The deal also includes two years of service with the option to extend by up to ten years.

Neither project nor customer are disclosed.

Installation is set to begin in the summer of 2022, with commissioning planned for the autumn of the same year.

Both facilities located in the Italy's southwestern Campania region in mountainous terrain 900 meters above sea level.
