Iberdrola gives Siemens Gamesa more service tasks

The Spanish utility has extended the OEM's service contract for UK offshore wind farm East Anglia One up to 2035.

Wind turbine manufacturers love service contracts – for obvious reasons. As business from selling hardware, at least for onshore units, struggles to make money, OEMs are able to show profit margins for 20-30 percent quarter after quarter from their service operations.
