German government prepares third financial aid package

For the third time, the Scholz governement is providing a financial aid package to help the German population manage soaring energy costs.

On Sunday, German ministers voted in favor of a third financial aid package totaling EUR 65bn. This will help lessen the pressure on German households struggling with soaring energy prices which are partially due to plummeting imports of natural gas from Russia.
