Ørsted enters partnership focusing on floating wind

The utility pledges to repeat its seabed-fixed offshore wind endeavors ”all over again with floating wind,” in an announcement of a new collaboration with Acciona.

A new strategic partnership between Ørsted and the infrastructure division of Acciona is meant to pave the way for floating wind to take the step from innovation to the industrialization stage, reads a press statement from the Danish utility in relation to a signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Acciona, a designer of innovative foundation solutions for floating offshore wind.
