Iberdrola cancels another offshore wind farm project

The best way forward is to ditch the contract and try again, says the Spanish company’s US subsidiary.

The third offshore wind contract in the US is now off the table. Iberdrola’s US subsidiary, Avangrid, has reached an agreement with Connecticut authorities to cancel the power purchase agreements for the 804MW Park City project, which was originally scheduled to be operational from 2025.
