Ørsted expected to shelve additional projects

More shutdowns are on the way from Ørsted, analysts expect. Danske Bank thinks that two new projects and the company’s dividend to investors may be lost. Nordnet argues that Ørsted reacted too late.

The shutdown of the Ocean Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind projects will be followed by more, several analysts expect after Ørsted’s disastrous day yesterday, when the company pulled out of the two major projects and triggered a write-down of more than DKK 28bn (USD 4bn), wiping out the company’s profits.
