New York drops three offshore wind projects, including CIP's

GE’s decision to shelve the 18MW offshore wind turbine causes New York to halt the 4GW of offshore wind awarded last year. The turbine manufacturer maintains that the smaller model is sufficient.

Everything is known to be bigger in New York. Just not in the case of offshore wind, which now means that the state is refusing to complete the contracts for the three offshore wind projects totaling 4GW that were awarded last year.
