US President Joe Biden is reportedly planning a ban on US import of Russian fuel – a measure that could take effect as early as today, Tuesday, and doesn't include the participation of European allies, anonymous sources tell Bloomberg News.

Sources say the ban will apply to oil, LNG and coal.

Imports of Russian crude and petroleum products, the media writes, account for roughly 8 percent of total US consumption.

US reference oil West Texas Intermediate is priced 2.8 percent higher at USD 122.70 a barrel Tuesday.
