Equinor reports slight increase in personal injuries

While no major accidents occurred, the Norwegian oil company has recorded a small increase in personal injuries on the whole in Q2.

Norwegian oil and gas producer Equinor has registered a total recordable injury frequency of 2.5 per million hours worked on a 12-month average in the second quarter of 2022.

The news was covered by Norwegian media E24 on the basis of Equinor’s just released report on the matter.

Hand and finger injuries were the most common, but no major accidents occurred during Q2.

However, the oil company notes a serious incident frequency of 0.5 per million hours worked over a 12-month average.
