NGO warns EU against wave of LNG-fueled ships – seeks gas independence by 2030
As the EU works to reduce its dependence on gas due to the Ukraine war, shipbuilders are busy constructing new LNG-powered ships, which will extend the duration in which Europe will depend on the fossil gas, says NGO.

While the European Union is hard at work trying to reduce household and industry dependence on gas in the wake of the war in Ukraine, shipbuilders, conversely, are busy constructing LNG-fueled ships, which will lead to continued and serious gas dependence in 2030, according to NGO Transport & Environment (T&E).
