Karlshamn green-lights Nord Stream 2

Swedish port city Karlshamn will serve as supply base for Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2. Swedish concerns for national security were trumped by the prospect of creating jobs.

Originally, Sweden's government urged that Swedish port cities decline any offers to be the base for the large-scale Russian gas pipeline project Nord Stream 2. The Swedish reasoning was that Russia is too aggressive and constitutes a threat to stability in the Baltic region.
