EU proposes policy for recycling used batteries

With a new ordinance proposal, the EU Commission hopes the union can get better and more environmentally friendly batteries with a far greater recyclability factor than exists at present.

Batteries in EU circulation must be sustainable, high-performance and safe throughout their lifecycles, the EU Commission says after suggesting to modernize the union's legislation on the matter.
