Norway's energy directorate doubts large offshore wind projects before 2030

While several Norwegian political parties have set a goal to have major offshore wind projects commence before 2030, the authority now sows doubt on their realization.

Large-scale wind projects in Norway's seas could potentially take longer to prepare than domestic political parties currently expect. Several parties have agreed that Norway must have a generation capacity of at least 3 GW by 2030, but that's not necessarily feasible, says the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE).
