Three Rosneft-owned oil refineries in Germany taken over by the state
RN Refining & Marketing and Rosneft Deutschland, which are capable of handling approx. 12% of Germany’s oil refinement, are being taken over by the German state as a consequence of the war in Ukraine.

The German state has taken over Russian oil and gas giant Rosneft’s three oil refineries in Germany, writes Bloomberg News, reportedly as a result of the energy crisis that stems from Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Specifically, the state will take over RN Refining & Marketing and Rosneft Deutschland, which account for approx. 12% of Germany’s oil refinement capacity.
The refineries are located in the cities of Schwedt, Karlsruhe and Vohburg.
German Minister of Finance Robert Habeck will present the plans for Rosneft’s former assets at a press conference in Berlin Friday.
