
Vestas sees huge potential for repowering in the US, the process whereby older turbines are modernized with new technology and to thus offer a far larger energy output.
"This is a huge 'push' for repowering. We need the sites which we originally identified 15 or 20 years ago to become modernized," says Chris Brown president of Vestas in the US and Canada, at a wind turbine conference in Anaheim, California.
