German wind prices rise by one fifth

Wind power in Germany has become much more expensive than last year. This could be one conclusion when looking at the result from the latest German onshore wind auction. Contracts were awarded to 709 MW with an average price of EUR 4.6 cents/kWh, which is 21 percent higher than the price of EUR 3.82 cents/kWh from the last auction in November.
