Development bank funds 220 MW Polish wind farm

Favorable winds from Poland prompt the European Development Bank to return to the country after a three-year absence and with support for an unusually large project deploying GE's wind turbines.

GE is about to get a large order from the Polish market. The 220 MW Potęgowo project plans to use 79 GE wind turbines, rated at 2.5 and 2.75 MW, and has secured PLN 209.1 million (EUR 48.84 million) in finance credit from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the bank informs in a statement.
