Vestas bags yet another gargantuan order, 2019's largest

The wind turbine manufacturer supersedes yesterday's 420 MW order with an even larger contract, thus nearing 1 GW on the US market in less than 24 hours.

Vestas' Q1 interim report from Tuesday showed a record-high order intake. However, within these last 24 hours, the books have grown by almost 1 GW. After first having announced a 420 MW order, the wind turbine manufacturer now outdoes itself late Friday morning with an order for a whopping 459 MW, which, including previously ordered equipment, totals to 503 MW, Vestas informs in a press statement.
