Ørsted CEO: We should not be afraid to transform

Ørsted considered betting everything on offshore wind, where it has a major head start. Instead, the energy company has engaged strongly in a brand new business area.

When Ørsted Chief Executive Henrik Poulsen in autumn of 2017 discussed the company's future with the board of directors, the parties seriously considered whether the whole business should focus on offshore wind, where Ørsted had a solid head start compared to competitors.
